JANE MOORE
Designer & Potter |

Jane likes to depict desert wildlife, plants and
humorous caricatures of animals in her work. "I
like to remind people of our natural environment
in the era dwindling flora and fauna."
Jane attended Chicago Academy of Fine Arts with
a focus on design and painting. She moved to Jerome
in 1973 and began working at Made in Jerome Pottery
in 1980 |

David and Jane work cooperatively to create this
unique pottery. They dig and process local clay,
mix it, and allow it to age. The pots are hand formed
on foot-driven potter's wheels. When they are thoroughly
dry they are then bisque fired in the kiln. Finally
they are glazed, hand painted and fired again to
2250 degress fareinhight.
The final product is a durable stoneware pottery
suitable for daily use. It is lead free, oven, dishwasher,
and microwave safe. Your new pottery should not
be exposed to sudden, extreme temperature changes.
When properly cared for, your Made in Jerome pottery
will be a part of your family's treasures many years
to come. |
